The “Change Network Settings” function allows you to modify the EIBPORT network configuration directly through BAB STARTER.
The following settings are available:

Device Name: Custom name of the EIBPORT on the network.

DHCP: Enable or disable automatic IP address assignment.

IP Address: Configure the device's IP address.

Subnet Mask: Configure the subnet mask.

Gateway: Specify the default gateway.

DNS Servers 1–3: Configure the DNS servers used by the device.
Apply Network Settings
To modify the network configuration, follow these steps:

Open the Device Menu of the desired EIBPORT.

Select “Details” and then “Change Network Settings”.

Adjust the network settings as required.

Enter the device's EIBPORT String and administrator password.

Click “Apply Settings” to transfer the changes to the device.
Note
The correct EIBPORT String and administrator password are required to apply network settings. Changes cannot be saved without valid credentials.
Note
Changing the IP address or subnet mask may interrupt the existing connection to the EIBPORT. Make sure the device remains accessible at its new IP address after applying the changes.
