The BAB STARTER is platform-independent software that provides centralized access to BAB TECHNOLOGIE devices. It allows users to launch and use Java-based editors and applications without requiring a local Java installation.
Supported applications include the Java-based editors for EIBPORT, CUBEVISIONMODULE, CUBEVISIONMODULE X, and FACILITYMASTER EIBPORT, as well as the EnOcean editors for EIBPORT, CUBEVISIONMODULE, and LINKMODULE.
In addition, BAB STARTER features an integrated discovery function that automatically searches for and detects compatible BAB TECHNOLOGIE devices on the local network. Detected devices are displayed in a clear overview, along with their available device and network information. If supported by the respective device, network settings can also be modified directly through BAB STARTER.
Compatibility
Starting with version 1.2.0, BAB STARTER fully supports EIBPORT devices running firmware version 3.9.8 or later and CUBEVISIONMODULE devices running firmware version 1.5.4 or later.
Older firmware versions are also supported. However, some limitations may apply to image management within the respective editors.
