The “FIRMWARE UPDATE” menu item opens the web-based interface for updating the EIBPORT firmware.
Firmware updates may introduce new features, improve existing functionality, and fix bugs.
The update is performed through the corresponding EIBPORT web interface, which automatically opens in the operating system's default web browser.
Perform a Firmware Update
To update the EIBPORT firmware, follow these steps:

Open the Device Menu of the desired EIBPORT.

Under “Configuration”, select “FIRMWARE UPDATE”.

The EIBPORT firmware update interface opens in the default web browser.

If required, log in using the appropriate credentials.

Follow the instructions provided in the web interface to complete the firmware update.
After a successful update, you can verify the installed firmware version in BAB STARTER under “Details”.
Note
Before performing a firmware update, make sure you have created a current backup of the device configuration. Only use firmware files specifically intended for the respective device.
Warning
Do not interrupt the power supply or network connection of the EIBPORT during the firmware update. Interrupting the update process may cause the device to malfunction or become inoperable.
