Changelog

This changelog documents the changes, enhancements, and bug fixes of the BAB STARTER Software. The versions arelisted in reverse chronological order, starting with the most recent release.

Version 1.2.8 (October 2026)

New Features

  • LOGIKMODULE: Added the “Remote Access” menu item to the Device Menu.

  • EIBPORT V3: Added access to the new “CUBEVISION Editor” in the Device Menu.

  • Windows: Fixed occasional startup issues through improved error handling and validation of saved settings.

Version 1.2.7 (August 2026)

  • Added a warning message when the network ports required for the virtual EIBPORT are blocked.

Note

EIBPORT devices running firmware version 3.10.1 or later require at least BAB STARTER version 1.2.6.

Older firmware versions of EIBPORT and CUBEVISIONMODULE devices remain supported.

  • Fixed an issue where the “Visited Devices” list was deleted under certain circumstances after an update.

Compatibility

Note

Starting with version 1.2.0, BAB STARTER fully supports EIBPORT devices running firmware version 3.9.8or later and CUBEVISIONMODULE devices running firmware version 1.5.4 or later.

Older firmware versions remain supported. However, some limitations may apply to image management within the editors.

To use the image management features without restrictions, we recommend updating your EIBPORT or CUBEVISIONMODULE to a compatible firmware version.

Note

Changing network settings across different IP address ranges is supported for devices running firmware versions released in November 2019 or later. The DUODMX GATEWAY is excluded from this feature.
