Transferring Configuration Data via SD Card

In addition to saving a project as a .dx1 file, every project can also be exported as a HEX file.

This file format is required to transfer the configuration data to the DUODMX GATEWAY using an SD card.

To ensure that the DUODMX GATEWAY automatically recognizes and loads the configuration file, it must be named "config.par".

While the configuration file is being loaded, the green Power LED is turned off. Once the LED lights continuously again, the loading process is complete.

Procedure

  1. Save the project as a .dx1 file.

  2. In the DMX Configurator, select "File" → "Export HEX File".

  3. Save the generated HEX file with a unique name in any folder.

  4. Create a folder on your PC for the "config.par" file.

  5. Copy the generated HEX file into this folder and rename it to "config.par".

  6. Insert the SD card into your computer's card reader and copy the "config.par" file to the SD card.

  7. Insert the SD card into the SD card slot of the DUODMX GATEWAY.

  8. Wait until the green Power LED lights continuously again.

The configuration has now been successfully transferred to the DUODMX GATEWAY.
