INTRODUCTION

DMX (Digital Multiplex) is a control protocol widely established in the entertainment lighting industry. It is known for its robustness, reliability, and simple architecture. Since its standardization in 1990, DMX has become a proven worldwide standard, offering extensive functionality at low implementation costs due to its widespread adoption.

The DUODMX GATEWAY KNX SR REG features one network interface and two independently configurable DMX interfaces (DMX universes), each providing 512 channels. This allows, for example, two rooms or lighting zones to be controlled independently.

The device can operate as both a DMX Master and a DMX Slave. In Master mode, it transmits DMX data, while in Slave mode it receives and processes incoming DMX data.

The DUODMX GATEWAY is designed for direct connection to a KNX Twisted Pair (TP) network. Thanks to its integrated Master/Slave (SR) functionality, it supports both the conversion of KNX telegrams into DMX commands and the transmission of incoming DMX data to the KNX bus. The operating mode can be configured independently for each of the two DMX interfaces.

The professional DMX Configurator software not only allows individual DMX channels to be dimmed but also enables the creation of complex lighting scenes and sequences, as well as convenient configuration of the device.

The DUODMX GATEWAY is housed in a DIN rail enclosure (4 TE / 4 module units) for installation on a DIN EN 60715 mounting rail, making it ideal for installation in electrical distribution boards and control cabinets.
