In Fixed Group mode, the Smart Home App controls a group of devices that has already been created in BluOS.
The group composition is neither defined nor modified within the Smart Home App. All required Bluesound devices must therefore be assigned to a fixed group in BluOS beforehand.
Group
Select the fixed BluOS group that should be controlled by this Smart Home App instance.
Only detected groups or their primary devices are displayed in the selection list. The Smart Home App controls playback through the primary device of the selected group, while all other group members follow according to the existing BluOSconfiguration.
Note
If the desired group is not listed, verify that it has been created in BluOS, that the primary device is powered on and connected to the network, and then refresh the group list.
Grouping Behavior
In Fixed Group mode, the Grouping Behavior setting is not available.
The Smart Home App uses the existing group without modification. It does not add or remove devices, nor does it create or restore different group configurations. Changes to a fixed group must always be made directly in BluOS.
Note
Whether volume commands are sent only to the primary device or also to the connected group members is configured separately using the Volume for Linked Speakers option.
Important
If Bluesound devices are controlled simultaneously through the Smart Home App and the BluOS app, commands may interfere with each other. This can lead to unexpected behavior of individual devices or groups.
