In Dynamic Group mode, the Smart Home App temporarily combines multiple Bluesound devices into a shared playback group when required.
Dynamic groups are primarily used for announcements, playlists, and presets. After playback has finished, the group is either restored to its previous configuration or kept as it is, depending on the selected Grouping Behavior.
Primary Device
Select the Bluesound device that should act as the primary device of the dynamic group.
The primary device serves as the group leader. The playback source, playback state, and general status information are based on this device.
Note
The primary device must be powered on and accessible on the network.
Group Members
Select the additional Bluesound devices that should be combined with the primary device to form the dynamic group.
You can add up to ten members and copy, edit, or remove existing entries. When adding, copying, or editing a participant, an additional configuration dialog is displayed.
Device
Select the Bluesound device to be added to the dynamic group.
The primary device cannot be selected as a participant. Devices that are already assigned to another participant entry are also unavailable for selection.
Initial Volume
Enable this option if a predefined volume should automatically be applied to the selected participant when the dynamic group is created.
If this option is disabled, the Smart Home App does not modify the participant's volume during group creation.

This setting is only available when Initial Volume is enabled.
Note
The initial volume applies only to the selected participant. The volume of the primary device is not affected.
Grouping Behavior
This setting defines what happens to the participating devices after an announcement or a playlist or preset started by the Smart Home App has finished.
If the primary device or one of the selected participants already belongs to another group, the Smart Home App temporarily dissolves that group before creating the dynamic group.

Note
Restoring the group configuration is independent of restoring previously playing content. Playback restoration is configured separately for playlists, presets, and announcements.
Important
If Bluesound devices are controlled simultaneously through the Smart Home App and the BluOS app, commands may interfere with each other. This can lead to unexpected behavior of individual devices or groups.
