Announcement Mode allows you to interrupt the current playback and play either a previously configured playlist or an audio file created with the Speech app.
The Smart Home App prepares the devices according to the selected operating mode. In Dynamic Group mode, the primary device and all configured participants are temporarily combined into a shared playback group.
Announcement Mode (EIS 14, 0–255)
Enter the group address used to start a configured announcement or stop an active announcement.

When a configured ID is received, the Smart Home App interrupts the current playback and starts the assigned announcement.
After the announcement has finished, the subsequent behavior depends on the Grouping Behavior and After Announcement Playback settings.
Note
An announcement can only be started if the corresponding ID has previously been assigned in the Announcements list.
Announcements
This list defines the announcements that can be triggered and the IDs assigned to them.
The following content types are supported:

Playlists available on the selected Bluesound device

Audio files created with the Speech app
You can add new entries and copy, edit, or delete existing ones.
When adding, copying, or editing an entry, the following parameters are available.
Assigned Integer
Assign a unique numeric ID to the announcement.
When this value is received on the configured group address, the corresponding announcement is started.
The valid range is 1 to 255.
Recommendation
Assign each ID only once to ensure a unique mapping.
Announcement Content
Select the playlist or Speech app audio file that should be used for the announcement.
If the required content is not displayed, verify that the playlist exists on the selected Bluesound device or that the audio file is available in the Speech app, then refresh the selection.
Ending an Announcement
The Smart Home App continuously monitors the playback status of the Bluesound device. As soon as playback of the announcement finishes, Announcement Mode ends automatically.
An active announcement can also be terminated manually by:

Sending the value 0 to the Announcement Mode group address

Stopping playback
After the announcement has ended, the configured actions for playback restoration and grouping are executed.
Enable Announcement Volume
Enable this option if announcements should always be played at a predefined volume.
If disabled, the current playback volume is used.

This setting is only applied when Enable Announcement Volume is enabled.
When playback involves a group, the configured announcement volume is applied to all participating devices.
After Announcement Playback
Defines how the Bluesound devices behave after an announcement has finished.

Note
This setting affects only playback content and volume. Whether a previous device grouping is restored is configured separately using the Grouping Behavior option.
