This chapter describes the behavior of the DUODMX GATEWAY during a power failure and after power has been restored. It also explains the device behavior in the event of a KNX bus power failure.

Behavior During Power Failure
The behavior of connected DMX devices in the event of a power failure of the DUODMX GATEWAY depends on the individual end devices.
According to the DMX specification, a DMX device switches to a safe operating state (for example, the lighting is turned off).
Behavior After Power Restoration
When power is restored, all 512 DMX channels on both DMX interfaces are reset to the default value of "0".
The Scene Configuration also provides the option to automatically trigger a predefined Startup Scene after the power supply is restored.
This allows you to define whether:

the lighting is switched on, or
-
a predefined scene is started automatically.
To configure this behavior, simply select the desired scene in the "Startup Scene" field.
Behavior During KNX Bus Power Failure (KNX/TP Devices Only)
If the KNX bus voltage fails while the device's power supply remains available, only the KNX communication with the DUODMX GATEWAY is interrupted.
The DMX signals continue to be transmitted, so the current state of the DMX outputs remains unchanged.
After the KNX bus voltage is restored, the DMX output state also remains unchanged unless new KNX telegrams are received.
