Segment Coupler (SC)
The physical address corresponds to that of a standard KNX bus device (X.Y.Z, Z ≠ 0) and must match the logical topology of the KNX installation.
The Segment Coupler is used to divide a KNX line (maximum 256 devices) into independent line segments.
Group communication can be configured with or without filtering.
The Segment Coupler is logically assigned to the subordinate line segment.

Line Repeater (LR)
The physical address corresponds to that of a standard KNX bus device (X.Y.Z, Z ≠ 0) and must match the logical topology of the KNX installation.
The Line Repeater is also used to divide a KNX line (maximum 256 devices) into independent line segments.
It regenerates and repeats telegrams within a KNX line. Filtering is not available in this operating mode.
