The following functions are supported:
-

-
Relative movement
-
Open and close
Examples:
“Alexa, set [Roller Shutter] to 50 percent.”
“Alexa, lower [Roller Shutter].”
“Alexa, open [Roller Shutter].”
Name
Name of the device as it should be addressed by Alexa.
Description
Detailed description of the device.
Display Category
Determines the icon used to represent the device in the Alexa app.
Available categories:
-
Interior Window Covering
-
Exterior Window Covering
Note
As of October 2025, no visible difference exists between the two categories in the Alexa app.
Position
Group address to which position commands from Alexa are sent.
For the voice commands Open and Close, the following values are sent by default:
-
0% = Open
-
100% = Close
If Inverted Control is enabled, these values are reversed.
Relative commands such as "raise" and "lower" are also supported.
For relative commands, the app uses a step size of 25%.
Position State
Group address from which the current position is reported to Alexa.
Open/Close
Group address to which open and close commands from Alexa are sent if no Position group address is configured.
Default telegram values:
-
0 = Open
-
1 = Close
If Inverted Control is enabled, these values are reversed.
If a Position group address is configured, position control always takes precedence.
Open/Close State
Group address from which the current open/close state is reported to Alexa when no Position group address is configured.
Inverted Control
Enable this option to invert the meaning of the Open and Close commands.
In this case:
-
Open sends 100% or 1
-
Close sends 0% or 0
This is useful for devices such as awnings that are retracted when considered closed.
Relative commands such as up and down are not affected.
