The following settings are available only for Hue lights.
Absolute Brightness (EIS 6 / 0–100%)
Enter the group address used to set the absolute brightness.
Note
A value of 0% switches the Hue light off.
Relative Brightness (EIS 2 – Relative Dimming)
Enter the group address used for relative brightness control (Start/Stop Dimming).
Brightness Status (EIS 6 / 0–100%)
Enter the group address used to report the current brightness.
Always Send Brightness Status
Enable this option to transmit the current brightness value to the KNX bus whenever the light is switched on or off.
This is particularly useful for wall-mounted dimming push-buttons to ensure that the displayed switching state remains correct.
Start/Stop Dimming Duration
Enter the duration of a complete dimming cycle from 0% to 100%, specified in multiples of 100 ms.
Note
Hue lights support up to 10 commands per second. For groups, Philips Hue recommends sending no more than one command per second.
Since every brightness change must be transmitted individually, the Smart Home App automatically calculates the required step size to achieve the configured dimming duration.
Individual lights are updated every 110 ms, while groups are updated every 1100 ms.
For the finest possible dimming of an individual light (step size of 1 every 110 ms), a dimming duration of 280 (equivalent to 28 seconds) is recommended.
