Installation and Electrical Connection – KNX SECURE COUPLER

Secure Operation

Before commissioning the device with KNX Data Secure, complete the following steps:

1. Enable Secure Commissioning in the ETS.

2. Remove the Device Certificate from the device and store it in a safe place.

3. Enter or scan the Device Certificate and add it to the ETS project.

4. Recommendation: Use a high-resolution camera to scan the QR code.

5. Document all passwords and keep them in a secure location.

Installing and Connecting the Device

1. Observe the specified cable routing and the required cable clearances.

2. Mount the device on a DIN rail.

3. Connect the bus cables to the KNX bus terminals (see Figure 1), observing the correct polarity.

4. Connect the superordinate line to the lower bus terminal (10). The device is powered via this connection.

5. Connect the subordinate line to the upper bus terminal (1).

6. Fit the protective caps to the KNX bus terminals to protect against hazardous voltages.
