Settings for configuring the Smart Home App and managing instances.
Instance
Please use Google Chrome to configure the Smart Home App.
Note
After 60 minutes of inactivity, the browser session is terminated automatically. Any unsaved changes will be lost.
To create a new instance, click “+ Create Instance”.
Please note that the maximum number of available instances depends on the Smart Home App and the licensed edition.
Basic Settings
Instance Name
Enter a name for the new instance.
Use a descriptive name to make the action easier to identify later. The name entered here is also displayed in the ekey bionyx app on your iOS or Android device.
Comment
Optionally enter a short note or description.
The comment is only visible within the Smart Home App and helps document or identify the configuration.
Notification API
Enable this option to use the ekey bionyx Notification API instead of the Third-Party API.
Further Configuration
If Notification API is enabled, continue the configuration as described in Chapter Notification API.
If Notification API is disabled, continue with the instructions in Chapter Third-Party API.
Depending on the selected option, different configuration parameters are displayed.
Note
The Notification API can only be enabled for one instance of the Smart Home App.
