Connection Parameters for DoorBird

IPv4 Address of the DoorBird Door Station

Enter the IPv4 address of the DoorBird door station to establish the connection.

You can determine the current IP address using the DoorBird service at:

https://www.doorbird.com/checkonline

To use status feedback and image capture functions, the API Operator permission must be enabled for the DoorBird user account.

You can find this setting in the DoorBird App under:

Administration → Users → Permissions

Note

The DoorBird door station should always use the same IP address as configured here.

Information on assigning a fixed IP address can be found in Chapter 6, using a FRITZ!Box as an example.

Username

A username and password are required to authenticate with the DoorBird door station.

If these credentials have not been changed, you can find them in the Quickstart Guide under “Add Device to App”.

Important

Use the credentials of a user account, not the administrator account.

The API Operator permission must also be enabled for this user in the DoorBird App under:

Administration → Users → Permissions

Password

Enter the password of the DoorBird user specified above.

If the password has not been changed, it can also be found in the Quickstart Guide under “Add Device to App”.

Overwrite Existing HTTP Notification Schedules

Enable this option if existing HTTP notification schedules on the DoorBird door station may be overwritten by this Smart Home App.

The Smart Home App creates the required schedules on the DoorBird door station so that events can be transmitted to the app via HTTP and then forwarded to the KNX bus.

Since only one HTTP notification schedule can be configured per DoorBird door station, existing HTTP schedules may need to be replaced.

Note

After the initial installation of the DoorBird door station, it is recommended to disable this option.

Otherwise, the HTTP schedules may be overwritten each time the instance is saved, for example after changing group addresses or other settings.

Note

Check all connection parameters carefully. Incorrect entries, such as an invalid password, are not reported separately by the Smart Home App.
